Chameleon Microsurveys, Tours, and Launchers can be targeted so that only specific users see these, based on who they are or what they did.

When creating a Target Audience from the Segments page, you will see the number of matching users under your Segment's title, as shown below.

The number or matching users will update after you save any filter changes you've made.

This represents the number of users already seen by Chameleon in your product (i.e. users that have logged in since Chameleon was installed) that also match the filters you have specified.

Errors

In some cases, the number of users will not load, and instead display "Error" or show 0 users. This may be caused by a timeout error occurring (because the total number of users that Chameleon has seen from your account would take too long to parse). This means is that the count is not loadable; nevertheless, the underlying targeting is still working!

This gives you an estimate of the current size of the target audience for this segment. You can click this to open the Segment page within the Chameleon Dashboard, from where you can download the list of users.

Export a list of users

You can always see which specific users are part of a Target Audience by viewing that Segment in the Segments page of the Dashboard, or exporting a CSV/Google Sheet.

For any Segment you wish to review, go to the Segments page in your Dashboard, and click on the tab for that particular Segment. If you don't see the tab for the Segment you wish to export, click on "Manage segments" and you can use the search feature to open it that way.

To view a quick summary of which users a Segment is targeting, in which Experiences it's being used, and other details, click on the link under that Segment's title indicating number of Experiences.

To download a CSV/Google sheet of any particular Segment, click on the green "CSV" button on the right, and choose your export options.

CSV downloads will arrive in your inbox within minutes.
